Another very busy weekend!

Soccer

We are up to our ears with soccer these days. Michael is doing very well, he has scored three goals already compared to zero last season. Josh is super fast and hasn't scored a goal yet, but I'm sure that will change today. His games are late in the afternoon around 3 to 4 pm and for some four year olds that is prime melt down time. Last week half his team was crying and leaving the field during the game. Josh ended up playing the entire time.
It's been a juggling act to get both boys to practices and games each week. But also a lot of fun!

After talking about the field trip(SPCA) he was going on today, Josh asked, "Is michael going on a road trip, too?" too cute!

Oh man, As I sit here, letting this lotion burn the hair off my upper lip and chin, I've been thinking back over the weekend. It was weird. I started out in the mindset, Oh I've got so much to do over the weekend, soccer games, church, financial class, etc, etc. and it didn't turn out anything like that. Soccer games were canceled, it rained, we skipped church, (shame on us) and we ended up with a cat? How the heck did that happen? anyhoo, it's a very busy week for us, I have to set halloween cards at all my accounts, the usual school and soccer practice and Awanas along with getting ready for some out of town visitors. Barry's parents are stopping by to see us during their trip to colorado. It's hard to believe the kids and I haven't seen them since we moved. It's been almost 2 years. Wow.
And the kitten has already had a name change, from patricia (josh wanted patrick if it was a boy so we went w/patricia) to Hannah (or hannah montanna as josh calls her). It's much easier to call a kitten hannah than patricia, it just didn't work.
Now I feel my lip tingling.

Please welcome, patricia, or pat if she turns out to be a boy. She's quite playful already and the boys are fighting over who she will sleep with.

It's been a bummer of a day. The boys both had soccer games scheduled for today but it rained all morning. Josh was so excited and ready to play in a game. He's watched michael for so long that he was glad it was going to be his turn to play. Oh well, next weekend will be fun with more games! We went shopping for a mattress, not fun at all, didn't find anything we really liked and could afford. Plus when we got in the new truck to go shopping I found about 4 inches of water in the floor board. REally not fun!

I tried really, really hard to wait. I just couldn't stand it any longer. I'm guilty. I (it's almost hard to say) got the Halloween decorations out of the garage. There, I admit, I'm a holiday junkie. I was so thrilled to see the decorations starting to appear in all the stores. Barry did inform that it's still 60 some days until Halloween, but I just got excited. We aren't decorating per say, just going through our stuff, cleaning some out to make room for new, taking inventory of what we have and what we need. Getting all kinds of ideas. Yeah, I'm so excited........
