Paintapalooza 2008

We experimented with a sidewalk paint recipe today, let's just say there are two boys in the shower with paint everywhere. It was quite fun, it's a homemade recipe with cornstarch, water and food coloring so everything was very safe. They enjoyed it and worked up quite an appetite.

4 1/2 is a little tricky

Oh, this boy. He has been a handful from the very begining, not sleeping through the night, loads of attachment to only me, unbelievable picky eater, and, well, a little spoiled by mom because he's my baby. But recently he's developed a little "tricky" side, for example, he is climbing our small trees in the yard while I'm watching, he tells me, "Mom, don't watch this okay, you don't want to watch" while he begins jumping out of the tree. He's doing this with everything he know's he might get in trouble for! Last night, I watched as he spilled a bag of crackers, I asked him to pick them up, instead he covers the crackers up with a paper to hide them and says "All better". He will also very easily blame Michael for anything, Josh wrote on his hands with marker while Michael was in school and blamed Michael. It is somewhat humorous right now, but I can only imagine if he continues this behavior. I've got my hands full!

Burstin' with pride

What a night! Awards ceremony for AWANAS. Josh got his first year award. Michael received his first year ribbon and came home with a Sportsmanship trophy. He was so surprised to win! I am one proud momma tonight.

Bad Haircuts and Calendars

You'd think we learned from my first mistake, shaving his head without the guard on, but I guess it takes two bad haircuts before we finally learn, NO MORE haircuts at home. Poor Kid. This time Barry gave him funky, 80's angled sideburns. Don't know how he did it, but it is done.

****On the otherside, do you see how full my June calendar is? and we haven't even started the month yet!

Slackeritis

no excuses, I've been a slacker about this blog lately. Of course there's been a zillion other things I've been taking care of and participating in and this little ole blog just fell way to the bottom of the list. But now, summer is fast approaching and I feel the anticipation of summer vacation. No I'm not quitting the blog, in fact, I'm feeling more inspired to continue. I hopefully will have lots more pictures and adventures to share during our Summer Vacation.
**doesn't Barry look so thrilled to be taking a picture. I think he is trying to look above the camera and keep his eyes open?

Wondering what we've been up to?

We didn't fall off the face of the earth, it's just that time of year when we are super, super busy with life. Usually I'm a little prepared for this busyness but this time it snuck up and bit me in the behind! There's been soccer games, field trips, flea markets, garage sales, evenings outside playing in dirt and numerous other activities. And the last few days we have been without internet due to the phone not working.
