Painting in the snow

Snow Day!!!!!!

I have to admit, school has not been canceled (even though every other school around us is) but I'm not getting out in this snow. We have about 3 to 4 inches and it is still snowing. It's a picture perfect snow and great for snowballs.

Tuesday, January 29

It's been just another regular week around here. Barry got home early sun am from West Virginia. We spent the day just being home with dad. It was nice.

I haven't even picked up my camera lately. It's just so brown and ugly outside, who wants to see a picture of that? and my house is usually a mess so I don't want to show you that.
We watched the Harlem Globetrotters on tv last night. The boys never laughed so hard, it was hilarious. There watching it again this morning thanks to dvr, we recorded it.
Have a lovely week!

Friday, January 25

It's Friday!

It seems like this week has been twice as long for some reason. Barry's out of town again this week and the boys seem to be twice as rowdy. Michael did a report at school on Jackie Robinson, the outfit on the right is his baseball uniform he made for the report. Josh has been a little under the weather, he had a fever Wed. afternoon and took a 3 1/2 hr nap. He then stayed up that night til around 1 am. :o{ He's feeling better today. Basketball games tomorrow and a quiet weekend at home.

January blues

I wanted to call this February Funk, but I realized it's not even February yet! It's that time of year when we are all tired of being stuck inside, tired of the cold weather and we are dreaming of spring time. I can't wait!

little bits of randomness

...time is moving very slow today, don't know why...Josh and I spent the morning browsin' the aisles of Wal-mart, I know, loads of fun, but we found the best markers in the world. They are from crayola and they come with a flip top lid. This means the cap stays attached to the marker and therefore eliminates forever, the "lost marker cap" disease. However, it doesn't eleminate the "don't remember to put the cap on" disease that my children suffer from....Barry's birthday was yesterday and we did absolutely nothing, I did bring home a musical card from work but the boys got ahold of it and I didn't even get a chance to sign it. Maybe friday evening we can go out to eat and have a little more of a celebration...Barry will probably have to go back to West Virginia to work again next week, leaving sunday and coming back when the job is done....
Josh can now manipulate the computer mouse on his own and click on everything necessary to play games over at webkinz.com. He isn't fast enough on most games to earn a lot of $$, so I stay up late at night playing games for him, it's a sacrifice I must make!.....this is too much randomness.....I'm boring myself to death!

Monday, January 14

It was a busy weekend. Michael had his first basketball game, lots of fun! He scored 2 points! I think basketball is more his sport than baseball, he did so good during the game. I also tried to keep the boys busy in order to not miss their daddy so much. We went to see the Bee Movie. Why does it cost more for the popcorn and drinks than it does to get into the movie?
We also had the usual basketball practice and Awanas. Barry made it home on Sunday am early, drove all night from NC. And the boys had a great day wrestling around with dad, something I just don't do. We also went to see the Veggie Tales movie Pirates who don't do anything.
Two movies and a basketball game in one weekend, that's a lot for us. I also took a few days off from cooking because when one child only wants PBJ's to eat and the other doesn't like most of the stuff I fix anymore, why bother? Now it's back to the everyday, more school, work and life.

Sunday, January 6

An afternoon at the park

more pictures later....

We're a little bummed around here

Barry a.k.a Big Daddy left today to go work in West Virginia for about 7 to 10 days. The boys liked checking out the work truck and dad's new laptop. They're taking it okay, Michael is a little sad that dad will miss his basketball game and Josh keeps asking if Daddy's home yet. We went to the park and zoo today (the weather was an unbelievable 73 degrees) to get out of the house! I'll try and keep the boys busy this week so they don't get a chance to miss daddy too much!

Birthday

Blowing out the candles & opening presents.

Happy 4th Birthday Josh!

Here's the birthday boy in front of "his"tree. He told us last night, "Christmas it was Mom's tree, now its's my tree". We're having a little party, just family and the neighbors later tonight. He is very excited, it's his birthday!

Ringing in the new year!

Celebrating we did not. I think I fell asleep, oh right about 9:30 pm!
Yes, I woke up by chance around 10:55 pm just in time to see the ball drop (in eastern time) on tv and straight to bed I went. Michael spent the night with his cousin and Josh and Barry didn't even consider staying up. We didn't eat Black Eyed Peas on New Years Day, but I feel like this year is going to be a good one!
