Trip to the zoo
Today we spent the morning looking for treasures at a few garage sales. Then on to grandma's and papa's house, where we took the boys to the privately funded small zoo not far from their house. These stuffed toys are souvenirs, Josh spotted the orange snake right away and has been carrying it around his neck every minute he can. It is such a wonderful zoo, because we get so up close with the animals and learn so much on the guided tours.

So maybe it's my birthday, but
do you want to know how I spent the day? Started the day trying to get Josh to understand why he could NOT wear two different shoes to an appointment we had. It's okay to wear them at home(sometimes) but not out in public! I have to draw the line somewhere. Put shoes back on his kicking feet about ten times! Continued to argue/disagree with Josh about various things until he vegged in front of the tv for a little while and he realized I wasn't out to ruin his life. Sewed alot on a fancy new sewing machine that Mom bought for everybody to use, but it gets to stay at my house:O) Yeah for me!! Picked Michael up from school to hear the dreaded words "Mom, I don't feel good". Got equipment and children ready for baseball game, Michael played very little. Tried to manage the boys in the dugout, but all of them were very unruly tonight. One boy even bit another, one boy poured water all over another boys pants, another kept spraying me with bug spray:O( Then I had to watch the end of another kids ballgame before we could go eat. Ate food quickly for fear that Michael might throw up in the restaurant:( Brought Michael home just in time for him to throw up in the bathroom floor! 1 sick child + a whole bunch of unruly boys = one momma who wants to forget this birthday! (don't I get a do-over)
Again,
We won again, but this time the score was only 8-4. I just found out tonight that there is a tournament for our league after the season ends on June 15. We will be playing ball through half of the summer!
Baseball is in full swing
Yep, baseball is back! We played two games on Friday night, both of which we won! Scores were 25-6 and 19-2. We have another game tonight, will our winning streak keep going? Here's a picture of the boys before the game. Michael is on the left with his hand on his hat. Josh is in the dug out doing the warm up!

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!!!!
Okay, I'm all for a good rain shower, but this is getting a little ridiculous! It has rained everyday for a really long time and it is messing everything up! Michaels field trip to the zoo had to be rescheduled because of the rain, and now it's on a day that I have to work so I can't go. We haven't played a baseball game in two weeks and (gasp) I'm starting to miss the games! The boys are literally climbing the walls because they can't really get outside and play. Our yard is a mud pit! and I'm tired of the rain!

The frog has disappeared
he has mysteriously jumped out of the box. Michael did find him hopping through the yard, but decided on granting the frog his freedom.
It has been raining for a few days and doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon.

Finally
a night with not much going on. Even with all the rain we got today the boys had to play outside tonight and they discovered a frog. Mr. Toad Miller is now sitting in a big plastic tote with lots of grass and some water (it's his natural habitat, Michael informed me)and trying very hard to jump out of his plastic prison. I refused to let him inside the house so he is on my front steps. Now can anyone tell me what frogs/toads eat?
Nothing.
I got nothing for ya! With work being super busy-did ya'll realize Mother's Day is like the largest card buying holiday?-and baseball season in full swing, I don't have lots of time left!
Here's a little picture I took while playing in the front yard. I'm going to try and take some pictures at a game but I'm usually in the dug out making sure the boys stay in the right batting order.
