It has been raining and raining alot here. Along with rain comes an abundance of worms. Josh has spent the morning observing and caring for his worms. You can see he found a couple of worms on the street that he felt really needed to be in the dirt. The process of moving them was very funny to watch. He can pick up a worm with no fear, but as soon as that worm touched his arm, he screamed like a girl doing the gross out dance. I'm not sure the worms survived the move they were picked up and dropped about 5 times.

Extremity Laceration
or a really, really bad scraped knee. We spent our first evening in the emergency room last night trying to decide if Michael needed some stitches. The thing we forgot about emergency rooms is that you wait and wait and wait. And then wait some more. It took about 3 hours before we saw the doctor who said the cut probably didn't need stitches and just glued it shut. We got home around 11:30 pm and I told Michael he could just sleep in and go to school a little late. Guess what time he got up? 7 am!! I told him he should be back in bed snoozing, because that's really where I wanted to be. I even offered to let him stay home. His reply, "No way, Mom, I might miss something cool at school".
Oh yeah, How did he get cut? He was walking with Barry, Katy and the dog when the dog walked in front of him and Michael fell over the leash. They were on the walking path at the park.
I wanted to document the event in pictures but my husband felt that might be a little crazy?!? So no pictures, no stitches, and no sleep.

Yippee!
We are back in business! Barry has a new job that he starts tomorrow. That is a huge relief! I am off to work today, more training. I think this job will be fun
Michael is back to school till 4pm this week and next, they are making up a snow day.
Baseball practice also starts this week.
Josh went to MOPS yesterday and there were no tears when I dropped him off! He was so excited about the Easter Egg hunt they were going to have. He carried his train basket with him and immediately started showing it off to everyone. Nice distraction.

*I have a new part time job with American Greetings. I will be merchandising the greeting card section at a couple of stores.
*Barry is diligently searching for a job with no call backs yet. I'm getting a little bit nervous, but I'm trying to have faith that God will provide.
*Josh is over his ear infection and being a little devil as usual. He likes to tell me "I'm angel, Mom".
*Michael is on spring break with everyday having at least 30% or more chance of rain. What fun!
*I haven't felt like blogging much, so I think I will take a break. Not long, but I just need to take a break from the computer.

Josh gladly taking some medicine
Wednesday, March 14
All things orange
Finally, I have more than a minute to sit down and think. Josh went to the doctor today for an ear infection. He got some medicine and ear drops. I was really proud of him today, he did everything the doctor asked him to do without much fuss. I could tell he really wanted to make his ear feel better. He is very stubborn about taking medicine, usually spitting it right out, but today I found a great product that lets you flavor and even sweeten medicine to a flavor of your choice. It came with bubble gum, grape, watermelon and most wonderful Orange (do you hear the angels singing) Orange is Josh's most favorite thing in the world right now. Everything the color orange or taste orange. He drank the medicine like it was ice cream or as he called it "a orange swushie".
We are two for two on the medicine today, I only hope he doesn't wake up tomorrow and decides on a different favorite color.
Michael has spring break next week! Something we didn't have in Pennslyvania, an entire week off for spring break. Bad news is after spring break he has to go to school for 30 minutes longer each day(8:45-4pm), until they make up a snow day. But at least he will have more daylight to play in the evening. Friday is also parent/teacher confernces. I'm sure I will hear all good things. My boy is a smartie! He is also entering a math competition next month. Woo-Hoo!
Off to bed now! Go on!

Happy 13th Birthday

Monkey see, Monkey do
Well, here's a picture of the boys. As you can see Josh is starting to copy everything Michael does. Michael was crossing his arms and not smiling(for other reasons, mainly because Mom made him tie his shoe) and Josh had to follow. That made Michael laugh as I snapped the picture.
We went to see a "wicked weather show" last night. The weather guys do lots of cool experiments and teach about the crazy weather at the same time. It was way too loud for Josh and he was ready to go about 10 minutes after we walked in the door. He toughed it out along with Barry and I taking turns standing in the hallway with him.

It's been another busy weekend
I'm sure ya'll would rather see a picture of the boys, but I have a buffalo instead. Sunday we drove out to Woolaroc (wildlife ranch/indian museum) and the animals were enjoying the beautiful weather. The buffalos were so close by and seem to be posing for all the passerbys to take pictures! (I took this picture from the car, literally 6 ft away from a Buffalo)
It was another super busy weekend with basketball games, baseball evaluations, Barry working Sat, grocery shopping and a trip to Woolaroc. I never realized how busy weekends can be when you work a M-F job.
I am glad today is Monday and we can take a break from the busyiness.

Question of the Day?
Did you know that baby powder has an expiration date? I didn't and just realized this morning that my baby powder is 5 years past expiration. What in the world expires in baby powder?

Joshism
Josh is devolping his sense of humor. This morning when Barry left for work he said "By, popsicle guy" and then giggled. He did it again when we dropped michael off at school. I'm not sure what made him think of popsicles but he thought it was quite funny.
Josh is better
After sleeping most of yesterday, Josh was feeling better. Barry got home and the boys went outside to practice baseball and Josh immediately got in trouble for throwing a stick at Michael, yep he's feeling better.
