Future photographer?

Josh enjoys taking pictures, so every once in awhile I let him (while under close supervision) take pictures with my camera. And I have to say he has taken some really cool pictures. This is one he took today.
Maybe I'm a little partial to his picture taking skills but I thought this picture was neat. Josh is sitting on the picnic table, pointing the camera up, the background is the side of our house.

It's a twonkie

I don't know why but every time we get these, Michael will call them twonkies. Everytime. Makes me laugh every time he says it.

Interruptions

It seems every time I sit down to post, I get interrupted somehow. Just now its, Can I have a banana? and Do I have any clean jeans to wear? Then I have to accommodate these requests and my brain gets side tracked. This has happened several times over the last few days and results in a lack of blog posting.
But even with my little bits of concentration I still wanted to give you an overview of the weekend.
Saturday- Basketball games, birthday party at the neighbors, watched Flushed Away and Barnyard movies
Sunday-Drove to Tulsa, shopped at Target, watched race, grocery shopping, Josh fell asleep at 6 pm and slept until 6 am
Monday-Josh and I went to Mops for the first time here, visited grandma and papa, bank, practiced baseball after school, finished homework, Barry had baseball meeting and my neighbor invited us over for dinner.
Whew!
This week should be calm, but it will be the calm before the storm. I have a feeling that we are going to be even busier once baseball starts. This weekend is baseball evaluations/tryouts. Michael has to hit pitches from a machine ( like at batting cages). Yikes! Barry is going to be a head coach this year and has to be at the evaluations all weekend because there will be some kind of baseball draft after the weekend.
More on that later, I've really got to get dressed and get Michael to school. The teacher will ask, Why were you late for school? Because my mom wasn't done blogging!!

Random Thoughts....

*Picture is Josh waiting in the car to pick Michael up at school
*Michael is starting multiplication and division in 2nd grade??! I don't remember doing that in second grade. I do remember doing timed multiplication flash cards in 3rd grade and being so nervous that I wouldn't make the time.
*Josh calls helicopters "happycopters", if he gets a little hurt, he will say that "it only tickles", not sure why?
*The weather has been very, very nice. I'm really thankful for the beautiful weather. Added benefit, the boys are falling asleep earlier because of all the time outside, and Josh is sleeping through the night.
*I'm making myself spend less time on the computer and more time doing other stuff, like laundry, dishes, picking up toys and yeah being outside! But that only means I will be taking more pictures to show.
*We are working on potty training Josh and have made some small improvements. I am reading a book about potty training in one day with a "potty party"? It has some good ideas such as having the child "potty train" a doll and then the child will want to follow. But it has repeatedly said if you do not follow these steps exactly this method will not work.
*I really need to go shower before I take Michael to school, who by the way would rather be called Mike at school.

It's nothin but net around here!

The picture is a little dark, but you can see our brand new basketball goal! Even though it took some struggle to get it all together, we finally got to shoot some hoops! Plus the weather was an amazing 65 degrees! Love it. Loouuvve it!!!!!!

Pigging out!

Valentines Day

Here's what I've done on this day full of love. 1. Woke up to Michael saying " Mom, there's a dead fish". 2. Enjoyed a Valentines breakfast feast at Michaels school-much fun! 3. Raced home from school to load dog in car and find animal hospital. 4. Realized animal hospital wasn't where I thought it was and went back home to call for directions. 5. Arrived at animal hospital to realize dog had pee'd in crate-all over the food that I didn't know was in crate-big mess. 6. Take dog, dog crate, and Josh into vet-apologized for being late, begged them to wash dog crate and dog off. 7. Dog gets shots, we all get home and now I'm taking Josh out to eat pizza. How have you spent your day full of love?

Just a quick note....

Michael is auditioning for a part in Robin Hood this afternoon. I really hope he gets a part!!

*Edited to add that he did not get a part. Only cousin Daniel got a part this year! Oh well, we will try again next year. Michael really had fun acting, he said it was cool to act obnoxious.

The nose's are runnin'

and the kleenex piles are getting higher. Poor Josh caught Michaels cold. I now have kleenex in every pocket and place imaginable. Because it's guaranteed when one of them sneezes the snot is flying.

It is a really beautiful day here, it might even get to 50 degrees today and tomorrow is a promising 60 degrees. I am overjoyed! Now pardon me while I go enjoy the outside!
