Ephrata Fair-2006

We just got home from another day at the fair. We went opening night because Michael's cubscout den was selling popcorn. Michael didn't have school today and Barry didn't have to work so we decided to go again. Michael still didn't want to ride the rides, but we played lots of games and ate more fair food. I'm glad the fair only comes once a year!

Goal Accomplished!

Okay, ever since he started losing teeth, Michael has wanted to lose a tooth at school to get a treasure chest. Finally today he did it! He refused to eat breakfast this morning for fear that the tooth might come out. Now he will have a great toothless grin for picture day on Friday.

Just a few things

  • I have been taking more pictures of Josh lately because Michael is busy at school, scouts and with his friends.

  • Barry is taking a class at H & R block twice a week (for those who didn't know), so now we have two people in this house who must do homework almost every night.

  • The Ephrata fair is next week and we can't wait! Maybe this year michael will want to ride some rides instead of play all the way overpriced games. Mmmmm, funnel cake!

  • Can I tell you how much I dread fundraising? This month Michael has fundraising for school, and now for cubscouts. I don't feel like dragging two kids door to door asking people to buy things from a way overpriced catalog only to be rejected by all the people on the street who have kids in the same situation.
  • Does anybody want to buy some cubscout popcorn?

Fall is here!

I can't believe how fast the summer went, but it is really gone. The air is cool, the leaves are falling and pumpkins are everywhere. I really enjoy the fall season here is Pennyslvania! and the boys love it too. Michael
loves planning his birthday, then comes costumes and candy, and before you know it will be Christmas.

Finally a nice day to play!

Mike and the fish tank

We took this picture because of a homework assignment, but Michael didn't get to turn this in because I couldn't go get the picture printed because of all the rain lately. My windshield wipers don't work yet (Barry still working on them). The assignment was to bring in or draw a picture of your pet. Michael decided to take a picture of the cats we had before and draw a picture of his pet fish.

Okay, I just have to complain. Joshua Ryan Miller kept us up until 2 am last night. Not because he was sick or crying, just because he would not go to sleep. He napped for about an hour yesterday which is not anything unusual. When I got home from work, he played a little bit and I thought for sure he would be out by 10pm. Barry and I tried everything, he was not complaining of pain, he was not hungry (because I offered everyfood I could think of), he had a cup of milk. He just sat up and would not close his eyes for anything. Finally, I laid down with him in his bed and told him I was going to sleep, he cried and tossed for about 30 minutes before he finally fell asleep. Guess what, he still woke up about 7 am! Why??!?!?!?!

???

Barry has been teaching Josh some basic information like names, etc. The other day I heard the following
*Barry: Josh, What is your Mom's name?
*Josh: Um, Jenifer
*Barry: What is your Dad's name?
*Josh: Um, um, Uncle Barry!

Oops!

A boy and a bike....

Josh loves motorcycles. This bike is in front of Wal-mart. He gets so excited to go to Wal-mart knowing that he can get a chance to sit on the motorcycle.

Is it every little boys dream....

to meet Spiderman? My boys were looking forward to this all week. Walmart was fundraising for the Childrens Miracle Network. Along with Spiderman, they had hot dogs, drink and chips for a donation. This was the highlight of our day, yes even my day. I can't help but fall for a guy in tights who saves the world.

I finally figured out how to put a flickr badge on my blog! Yeah for me! If you click on the flickr box to the left it will take you to my album with pictures. I am in the process of uploading pictures and will do more as I can.

What the .......?

This is what I found in the bathroom last night after everyone had gone to bed. If you can't tell in the picture, it is toothpaste all over the wall and other places you can't see in the picture. When I confronted the obvious guilty party he said something about brushing the bathtub's teeth? Oh well!

Weekend in Review

*Saturday-rain, rain, and more rain, it didn't stop us from going to Target to check out the $1 section that was now 75% off. The power kept going on and off in Target, Josh said "Let's go home, now!"
*Sunday-the rain stopped but now we have a bazillion sticks and tree limbs to pick up in the yard. I picked up two very cute kids folding chairs from freecycle, Josh carried his chair everywhere he went.
*Monday--My neighbor stopped by the backyard to see if we were going to eat with them, I said I didn't know we were invited. Apparently my husband forgot to mention that we had been invited to a Labor Day cookout. I gladly said Yes, I would be there but he might not be....available.
Michael has played outside with Jesse all day today, I will have to use a whole bar of soap just to get the dirt off.
It's back to school tomorrow!

I apologize for the view

of Josh's mouth full of food. I got my camera out to snap a few pictures of him sitting so quietly on the couch, and this is what I ended up with.

Happy Anniversary to....

Nanny and Papa G. Hope you have a wonderful day!

I've recovered from my bad day, so

I will post some more pictures. I (we) have been super busy this past week. I have been working at the store every night until Barry finds some more part time help, Barry's has had a few doctors appointments this week and more next week and Michael is adjusting to school. I think next week will be a little better.
