This boy loves monkeys

Josh has a love for monkeys, I think it started with a favorite monkey book we always checked out from the library, now we found this stuffed monkey at Goodwill the other day and it has become his best friend. Barry has just as much fun, making the monkey talk and act!

Rain, Rain, Go Away...

Come again another day. We left North Carolina after a huge rain and now we come home to rain, rain, and more rain. It rained all day yesterday and is suppose to rain all day today. I'm begining to think I need to build a boat!

Burlington Brands 25th Anniversary Party

The party was wonderful. It was a total surprise to Kevin, and we all had a great time listening to stories of Burlington Brands.

Family picture

This was our attempt to take a family picture before going to the 25th anniversary party for Burlington Brands. Josh absolutely refused to be in the picture, Michael made silly faces, and the tan line on my arm is crazy!(something I didn't realize while trying the shirt on)

Cousins

We had a wonderful time on vacation. Here is one of the pictures I took at the lake we went to for a picnic. It was very hot, but the kids still had a great time playing.

We're off to see the wizard....

the wonderful wizard of OZ, because, because, because of the wonderful things he does.
I don't know why but that just popped into my head as I was thinking of a title for this post. Anyway, we are on vacation! Woopie! Yahoo!
We are going to North Carolina tomorrow after the ballgame and will be there for a week. Nanny, Papa G., Uncle William, and Tiny, we are coming to see ya!

Physical Challenges

Michael likes to come up with all kinds of physical challenges. This was the latest challenge which ended up with him on the ground. He wasn't hurt to bad, or he didn't admit to being hurt.

Bug Poison

Summer full of Bugs and Bruises

I can tell this summer is going to be all about bugs and bruises. The boys have been outside all this week, making bug "poison" to attract and capture bugs. Michael is very envious of Kyles bug house and bug vacuum and wants one of his own now.
Right now they are out seeing how many times and different ways they can fall off their bikes. Yikes! I need to invest in a first aid kit.

Poor Josh tries to keep up with them, but just can't do it sometime. Last night he laid on the couch to watch tv and he immediately fell asleep.

Tonight is another baseball game, tomorrow we have one more day of soccer camp, Saturday is another baseball game and then we are off for vacation. I can't wait!

Books about Bugs

The week has gone well so far. Kyle, (green shirt) is a little more active and excitable than my kids are but things are working well. I noticed today that Michael and Kyle were getting a little antsy , so I suggested a trip to the library for some books about bugs. They were very excited to pick out the books, and get them home to read. Even Josh said, "Look Mom, butterflies, that's awesome."

Snacks

Michael made some snacks today. He was working on elective activities for Cub Scouts and one of the activities was to make a snack and share with your family. He tends to be very creative in the kitchen so I tried to keep it very simple with "ants on a log" otherwise known as celery w/ peanut butter and raisins. He is not the neatest cook in the kitchen as you can see the peanut butter is all over his fingers, but for effort I give him an A+.

Sleepy Boys

Some how riding in the car just makes everyone very sleepy. We had to ride up to the Tannersville, PA store yesterday to take some pictures of the store and employees for Kevin's surprise party/scrapbook. The boys did very well on the way up but they just couldn't help but fall asleep on the way home.

Michaels baseball picture

Baseball is almost over for the season. I am very proud of how much Michael has improved. He really enjoys baseball, and this may be a sport that he continues through school.

Michael lost a tooth

He was trying hard to lose it at school, because if you lose a tooth at school you get a treasure chest. But he didn't make it. Maybe next fall! Michael is now a second grader! He also can't keep his eyes open when I take a picture.

Wednesday, June 7

Yesterday, Josh and I had the chance to visit Michaels classroom and have some snacks. Josh behaved very well and loved Michaels teacher. He asked her for more drink, he kept going over to her and talking to her. I think maybe he should go to school next fall. In the picture Josh is sitting next to Michael having his snacks. We stayed and went out to the playground with the first graders, Josh quickly spotted our neighbor and scored a popsicle from her teacher. We had a great time!

I did it again....

Yes, I lost my wallet. It has happened before. This time I was working at the store yesterday and I decided to do some quick shopping on my lunch break.
You have to remember I am a disorganized mother of two boys, who doesn't get to go shopping alone. I take every chance I can to shop in peace and quiet! I ran over to the Goodwill store, spent my time there, made my purchase and went out to the car. I pulled out of my parking space, started to rummage through my purse for some change to get a drink, and realized my wallet was gone! What the hxxx! I just had it! I immediately went back into the store and searched around, asked the clerk, but no luck. I even drove back through the parking lot after work to see if some ninja thief had slipped my wallet out of my purse without me noticing, taken my license, debit card receipts and my .32 cents and left my empty discarded wallet in the parking lot. Not the case.
But today, I called the store and they had found it! What a relief! I will never do that again...for a few days.

<(* ? *)> (It's suppose to be a face?!?)

I had such a great time last night. To actually sit down and eat a meal without someone saying "Mom, can you get me...." was wonderful. And to watch a whole movie without being interrupted or without someone sitting on my lap, I had forgotten how enjoyable that could be. We saw Robin Williams movie RV, which was very funny! It's a hilarious movie about family vacations.
The kids did fine staying with our friends. I felt a little bad about how we left, Joshua was in another looking at the fish, and Barry and I just left, no goodbye's or see you later. It was like we were kids and just hit the baseball through the neighbors window, we dropped the bat and ran as fast as we could!
Today I faced the repercussions of our time off, Joshua did not let me out of his sight. He was very fussy, and constantly wanting to be held. Oh Well, It was nice while it lasted.

Happy 15th Anniversary!

Today is also my brother and sister-in-law's 15th wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary ya'll! I'm sure you won't be doing to much celebrating, since you are waiting on the baby to get here! Good luck and I hope he decides to come early!

Happy 10th Anniversary

Today is our 10th wedding anniversay. It's hard to believe it has been that long. How are we celebrating you ask? Barry and I are going to drop the kids at a friends house and go see a movie. A few hours just to ourselves. We went out to movies often before we had kids.
We had talked and dreamed about going away for a few days without kids, but that just doesn't work at this time and place in our lives.
So here's to you Babe, It's been a great ride so far!
